Before applying salt and apple cider vinegar for acne…
Test a small amount of the face wash before applying it to your entire face. First test on the back of your hand then test on your face. If either burns your skin add more water to the mixture then test again. Once you find a mixture that gives a slight sting that is bearable then apply it to your entire face. People with average skin should have no problem tolerating the sting from this remedy, but if you have sensitive or overly dry skin watch out because it might burn your skin if not diluted well enough. If the salt dries out or irritates your skin you can use the organic apple cider vinegar by itself in water.
Do not use salt water and apple cider vinegar daily. Use this remedy as a toner to exfoliate and help with dry skin every once in a while. Instead of replacing a face wash with this remedy just use it to get a deep cleanse at most twice a week if you have average skin or once a week if you have dry or sensitive skin. In the winter time use this remedy even less often. If you use this remedy too often the hydrating effects go out the window. When this remedy is used too often it will dry out your skin likely causing acne to flare up from irritation and your body creating more oils to compensate for dry skin.
Do not use vinegar or distilled apple cider vinegar for acne . They will be much to harsh for your skin, and they also do not contain beneficial active ingredients for acne. You can just use warm salt water as a face wash if you do not have any organic apple cider vinegar. Keep in mind the face wash will not be nearly as effective for acne without organic apple cider vinegar.
